MEF’s M-Commerce initiative brings brands, financial institutions, content owners/producers, carriers and retailers together to create transparency and increase consumer confidence in mobile transactions. MEF’s initiative in this space is about creating the consumer and merchant confidence necessary for the mobile to develop as the device to enable commerce.  MEF is partnering with CTIA to address some of the most pressing issues facing the M-commerce industry today such as:

• Ensuring clear and consistent rules for privacy and security that are easily accessible to consumers
• Promoting transparency in all transactions
• Reducing compliance costs and complications while enabling retailers to keep pace with change
• Guarding against fraud

The CTIA/MEF M-commerce pavilion will highlight some of the best in the business as they discuss how their innovative new technologies pave the way for m-commerce.
